Married with two children, Patrick Trotignon (62) is a Soccer Club Manager since 1989.


After studies that led him to a mechanical BTS and a DUT in Management, he started a career in the arms industry.


Meanwhile, he had a decent amateur playing career in Bourges and Chateauroux, his hometown.


Carried away by the passion of soccer and a salutary meeting with Michel Denisot, a well known journalist from Canal +, who is also a native of Chateauroux, Patrick Trotignon successfully managed the club « La Berichonne » Châteauroux , leading the club from the 3rd Division to the 1st division between 1989 and 1997.


Thereafter, Canal + gave him the opportunity to take charge of Servette Geneva with whom he won a Swiss League title in 1999, and a Swiss Cup in 2001, followed by a qualification for the last 16 of the European cup in 2002. This adventure ended in June 2002 following the withdrawal of Canal +.


Back in Châteauroux, he led « La Berrichonne » to an exceptional 2003/2004 season with a French Cup Final at the Stade de France, in front of 80,000 spectators (1-0 defeat against Paris Saint Germain).


After contributing to the financial recovery of the club he left « La Berichonne » in 2008.


He then started a new project with Danone CEO Franck Riboud in Evian. Between 2008 and 2011, he led his new club Evian Thonon Gaillard from the 3rd division to Ligue 1.


Under the leadership of Patrick Trotignon the club was structured in depth with, among other things, the construction of a professionnal training center.


After an amazing 9th place in Ligue 1 in 2012, Evian TG played the French Cup final in 2013 at the Stade de France against Bordeaux (3-2).
