Zimbabwe football teams:
Since 2002, the Little Dreams Foundation has been assisting the Aces Youth Soccer Academy (AYSA), a Soccer academy in Harare, Zimbabwe, led by Swiss coach and General Director Marc Duvillard.
The Foundation provides financial support for more than 50 kids (boys and girls), with no financial means, or orphans, between the ages of 13 and 18 years old, enabling them to have access to an education, housing, sports and treatments.
During the Rio Olympics four former players from AYSA, were involved in the Women’s Soccer Tournament, facing Germany, Australia and Canada. Sheila Makoto, Daisy Kaitano, Eunice Chibanda and Marjory Nyaumwe, who came to Switzerland in 2010 to participate in a tournament in Lugano with the help of LDF, are part of the Zimbabwean National Team, the so-called Mighty Warriors.
A few other players from AYSA are currently the leaders of the Men’s Soccer National Team of Zimbabwe. One of them, Knowledge Musona, became famous when he signed in 2011 with TSG Hoffenheim in the German Bundesliga. He currently plays for Belgian side KV Oostende and he is one of the top scorers of the Belgian Jupiler League.
